Join the movement!

ll050210-26b1 The Barefoot Movement is all about love the special stuff, the limited gear, the taste of fire starters and opinion leaders and yes, the love to dare and dare to love: different music.

The music is a new genre that combines the dirty bits of Hip Hop, African dance & Kuduru, Drum'n'Bass, Techno, chest-thumping bass, Dubstep, Grime, rhyme and a couple of other odds and ends that may catch us at the time. Palate Palette calls it Barefoot. It all started a few years ago in Vienna, when Stereotyp and Al Haca (Crunchtime) started to put beats together. People simply didn't know what to call this sound. Future Dancehall? Bass Glitch Music? WTF? Fact is, it doesn't stick to a tempo, because life itself comes in different waves and tempos too. In October 2009 month the Barefoot Movement hit Berlin's WMF Club and now it's time to take over Kuala Lumpur. Cee of the Al Haca Fame moved to KL and teamed up with the infamous Arabyrd in order to deliver you this mix of filthy music they call Barefoot. But it's actually more than just music already. It's an approach to life, art and whatnot. Once a month Cee and Ara will give you the chance to be part of it.

Your hosts Arabyrd and Cee are thrilled to bring you another edition of BAREFOOT, a night without tempo nor beat restrictions - all styles go. It just has to have enough dirt, if you know what I mean. Palate Palette loves Hip Hop and so does the Rogue Squadron. They will bring us the filthiest they can offer. From 10 p.m. - 11 p.m. they will be handing out some freebies again, so you better come early. There will be no cover charge la...
