The world loves itself some stinky, icky stuff
I don’t know about you, but I love strong-tasting pungent foods. There’s something about a warm bowl of miso and a cool cup of yoghurt that gets the juices flowing, you know? Malaysia’s very own Julie Powell
If you’ve seen the movie Julie Julia, or read the book “Julie & Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment,” you’ll know all about Julie Powell and how she went from a dead-end secretarial job to starting a web log, getting a book deal and later a movie deal starring Meryl Streep and Amy Adams (cue hundreds of food bloggers hissing with jealousy). Why? What? When?
Each women has their share of mood swings, tiredness, bloatedness and laziness... as women, we have to go through it every month.
Like me, my monthly blues comes on the dot or a day or two earlier and it goes on for almost 14 days (to be precise 10-14 days). Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined my neglected, unwatered curry leaf plant would have curative properties. I've always thought of it as nothing more than a flavour for those delectable dishes.
